Dr. Jackie Martin

Veterinarian and Practice Co-Founder

B.S .Biology, 1979 

University Of Georgia DVM, 1984

 

Dr. Martin is a talented surgeon specializing in orthopedic repairs.  She has three boys, Alex, Winston and Mason.  Dr. Martin has three dogs.  She is very involved in her children's activities.  Between being a mother and a veterinarian Dr. Martin stays very busy.

Dr. Molly Douglass

Veterinarian and Practice Co-Founder

Dr. Douglass has one Labrador, a French Bulldog, and three cats. Her husband is a brilliant man named Michael.  She has raised two adult children, John and Maggie.  John graduated from UNC Chapel Hill and is working in Washington, DC.  Maggie is a graduate of Appalachian State University and works out of Raleigh, NC.  Dr. Douglass says that her favorite part of her job is logistics and managing cases.

Dr. Amy Pugh

Veterinarian

Dr. Pugh has worked at Animal Hospital of Clemmons since the summer of 2008. She shares her home with 2 dogs and 2 cats.  She is well traveled and likes visiting impoverished nations.  She hopes to provide medical care to less fortunate animals in other countries and educate the individuals there on the prevention of zoonotic disease. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is internal medicine.

Dr. Kay Long

Veterinarian

UNC Greensboro B.S. Exercise Science 1990 

N.C. State College of Veterinary Medicine DVM 2002 

 

Dr. Long is a Connecticut native but has lived in North Carolina for many years.  Dr. Long brought acupuncture to our practice several years ago.  She and her husband, Charles, share their home with many "Longdogs" - five dachshunds and two terrier mixes, as well as one cat.

Dr. Sue Stephens

Veterinarian

Iowa State University B.S. Zoology, 1976

University of Illinois DVM, 1981

 

Dr. Stephens is an Illinois native but moved to Winston-Salem many years ago. She shares her home with her cat, Jake. Dr. Stephens came to work at Animal Hospital of Clemmons in 2000. She has worked at the Forsyth County Animal Shelter and has volunteered with the Forsyth County Humane Society. She is currently volunteering with AARF and teaches 2 veterinary assistant training classes at Forsyth Technical Community College. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is internal medicine.

Susan

Registered Veterinary Technician

 

Susan has worked at Animal Hospital of Clemmons for about 15 years. She went to Central Carolina Community College and graduated with her degree as a registered veterinary technician. She and her husband Lewis are the proud parents of a son and a daughter. They also share their home with 3 dogs and 3 cats.  Susan's favorite job at AHC is performing dental cleanings.

Maggie

Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist

 

Maggie has worked at Animal Hospital of Clemmons since March of 2008 as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. She also is in charge of our adoption program. She has a true passion for all animals. This shows in the little zoo that she and her husband, Josh, share their home with that consists of dogs, cats, birds, and horses!  She also spends a lot of time petsitting for many families in the area.  Maggie's favorite part of working at AHC is being involved in the rescue/adoption program.

Cheyenne

Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist

 

Cheyenne has been working at Animal Hospital of Clemmons since August of 2012. She and her fiance, Zack, have 2 kitties, Spartapuss and Catapatra (Fatty). Cheyenne is definitely the comic relief in the hospital! She never meets a stranger and is great with all of our clients. Cheyenne also pet sits for many families in the area. Her favorite part of working at AHC is dealing with the "gross, oozy stuff."

Jamie

Jamie has only been with us for the last several months but she has been a registered technician for the last 15 years. She is a very hard worker and has brought a ton of knowledge and years of experience to our practice. Jamie and her husband have 2 beautiful children and have also recently adopted an Australian shepherd puppy named Willa.

Katie

Kennel and Veterinary Assistant

 

Katie has been working at Animal Hospital of Clemmons since November of 2013. She started out working in the kennel and then began cross training as a veterinary assistant.  Katie says that her favorite thing about working at AHC is being with the animals.

Linda

Receptionist

 

Linda has worked as a receptionist at Animal Hospital of Clemmons for the past 5 years. She has been married to her husband Donald for 25 years and they have two daughters together. She also has two dogs.  Linda is a perfectionist and says her favorite part of her job is helping to make sure the hospital runs smoothly.

Vicki

Receptionist

 

Vicki has been a receptionist at Animal Hospital of Clemmons since 2000.  She is the mother of two daughters as well as two dogs.  Vicki is also happily married to her husband Tony. She is the very proud grandmother to two little boys! She is very friendly and loves to socialize with the clients at AHC. Her favorite part of working at AHC is getting to play with puppies.

Lisa

Receptionist

 

Lisa has worked at Animal Hospital of Clemmons for the past 11 years but has been a client with us for 26 years!! She has been with us from the beginning!  As well as doing some reception work, Lisa is also in charge of our bookkeeping. She has a B.S. in Natural Resource Conservation from North Carolina State University.   Lisa and her husband Tom have been married for 37 years and have 2 adults sons and 4 granddaughters. They also share their home with their 2 dogs, Sunny and Shady. Lisa's favorite part of working at AHC is the interaction with the animals and the people.  She also enjoys the challenge of keeping the office running smoothly.

MJ

Receptionist

 

MJ has worked at Animal Hospital of Clemmons for the past year and a half as a receptionist. However, MJ has been a client with us since 2002. She shares her home with her dog, Maggie. Her favorite part of working at AHC is being able to interact with all of the animals.

Shirley

Receptionist 

 

Shirley has worked at Animal Hospital of Clemmons since 2006. However, Shirley has been an AHC client since 1997! She and her husband Eddie have two daughters and six grandchildren. They also have three dogs, a herd of miniature donkeys and ponies, and have recently started keeping chickens. Shirley has a special place in her heart for birds having had many different types of exotic birds in the past. All of these now reside at Parrot Mountain Bird Sanctuary in Tennessee, which she and Eddie visit often.  Shirley's favorite part of working at AHC is being able to play with all the animals that come in.

Tiffaney

Veterinary Assistant

 

Tiffaney has been working at Animal Hospital of Clemmons for the past 12 years. She mostly works on Saturdays now and works for Wake Forest University during the week. She has an Associates Degree in Science from Forsyth Technical Community College, a Bachelors Degree in Laboratory Animal Science from North Carolina A&T and is currently working on her Masters in Public Health from Capella University.  She and her husband, Shannon, have been married for 10 years and have 2 daughters. They also share their home with a dog, 1 cat, 1 rat, and 1 hamster. Her favorite part of working at AHC is bringing comfort to pets and their owners by keeping the pets well.

Kristie

Groomer and Dog Trainer

 

Kristie has worked at Animal Hospital of Clemmons for many years. Over the years she has been a receptionist, veterinary assistant, and is currently our groomer and dog trainer. She has 2 daughters, 1 son, and 1 granddaughter. Kristie also has her own boarding/grooming/training business at her home that she shares with a multitude of animals. She has many dogs that are all involved in various activities including agility, fly ball, lure coursing, herding, terrier races, and showing. She has also been involved in animal rescue and foster and as of late she has become very involved in introducing unusual breeds to the canine sporting world. In particular, the Portuguese Podengo is a breed she saved in the U.S.. Kristie's favorite thing about working at AHC is interacting with the fun staff and great clients.

Kim

Receptionist

 

Kim worked at Animal Hospital of Clemmons from 2006-2008 as a veterinary assistant until her family moved to Colorado.  She recently returned to us as a receptionist after her family moved back to North Carolina.  She has been married to her husband for 21 years and they have 2 sons that are 12 and 10.

Mason

Kennel

 

Mason started working here this summer but has grown up in this clinic since he is Dr. Martin's son. Mason is a senior at West Forsyth High School. He is a very talented basketball player and is captain of the Junior Varsity basketball team at West.  Mason's favorite part of working at AHC is being able to help animals that are staying with us for awhile.

Elizabeth

Kennel

 

Elizabeth has been working at AHC for about two and a half years. She is a sophomore at UNC Charlotte. Her favorite part of working at AHC is making furry friends.

Kat

Kennel

 

Kat has worked here for about a year and a half and says that she loves her job working with animals! She is a senior at RJ Reynolds High School. Kat's favorite part of working at AHC is being able to meet and take care of all the different types of dogs and cats.
