To prepare for your first visit to our office, read through our frequently asked questions below.
  

Should I call ahead to book an appointment?

Yes, please book appointments ahead of time to ensure we have room in our schedule to see your pet. We are not able to accommodate drop in visits unless it is an emergency.

In the event that your pet needs emergency care during our regular business hours, please call our clinic right away.

What is your appointment cancellation policy?

If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please call us as soon as you can so that we can offer the opening in our schedule to other patients.

While we don't have a cancellation penalty, we ask that you do your best to respect the schedules of our veterinary team and our other clients.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept payment by debit card, credit card (VISA, MC, AMEX) and cash. All services require payment, but if you need help managing costs, we offer CareCredit financing for your convenience.

What types of animals do you treat?

We primary care for dogs and cats.

Do you offer wildlife rehabilitation services?

Yes, we provide wildlife rehabilitation for certain types of wild animals, including squirrels, possums, bunnies, and chipmunks, and others. However, we cannot provide care for skunks, raccoons, bats, foxes, and coyotes, as these are rabies vector species.

If you require assistance with a rabies vector animal or outside of our regular office hours, please contact North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission wildlife rehabilitation hotline.

Do you offer pet boarding services?

Yes, we offer boarding services for both dogs and cats.

Your First Appointment

When you know what to expect at your first visit to a new vet, it makes the process more pleasant and comfortable for both you and your pet. Read on below to find out what will happen during your first appointment with us.

STEP 1

Check In & Complete Forms

Try to arrive about 10 minutes early for your first appointment if possible. When you arrive, you will be greeted by our front office team and asked to fill out our New Patient Form. To save a some time, you can complete the form online in advance instead.

STEP 2

Initial Assessment

One of our veterinary assistants will weigh your pet and escort you to an exam room where you will be asked questions about your pet’s medical history, current medications and reason for the visit. We will also take a picture of your pet to place into our electronic medical record system.

STEP 3

Examination

One of our vets will introduce themselves and begin examining your pet. They will discuss their findings, assessment and recommendations with you, and answer any questions that you have. Our goal is to work with you to provide your pet with a long, healthy and happy life.

STEP 4

Prepare for Home & Checkout

The veterinary assistant will go over any prescribed medications or at home care recommendations with you.We will then walk you back out to the reception area, where you can schedule any follow-up appointments if needed and be checked out by our front office team.
