About Dr. Loryn
I originate from the UP of Michigan and Southern Minnesota. I started my career as a research scientist in the veterinary field, then moved onto the human side of research. I then decided that I wanted to become a veterinarian as a second career later in life.
I attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine followed by completing my clinical year at the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine. I then completed a year long internship in equine medicine at Piedmont Equine Practice followed by a year long fellowship with Genesee Valley Equine Practice. I then went on to become an equine associate, then moved into mixed animal practice and now small animal after moving to North Carolina.
I have an interest in internal medicine and general practice. I love treating the very young to the very old and try to make the experience comfortable for all.
I spend my spare time with my two dogs and my wife. We have a tropical plant collection and enjoy spending time at my cabin in the UP of Michigan on lake superior. I look forward to meeting and getting to know both you and your pets.
